Welcome to The Arts Society High Wycombe

(Previously High Wycombe Decorative and Fine Arts Society)

When our society was inaugurated in October 2014 our name was High Wycombe Decorative and Fine Arts Society (High Wycombe DFAS), a member society of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies. Subsequently, in May 2017, the national organisation name was changed to The Arts Society and we are now The Arts Society High Wycombe.

Our aim is to be a friendly, active society, offering a stimulating and interesting programme of lectures, study days and visits. We also organise longer visits, both in the UK and in Europe.

We have a wide range of lectures from October to July on the second Monday of the month starting at 10.45am, with coffee being served from 10am. The lectures are held at the Hub, Easton Street, in High Wycombe.

We have already successfully supported our first Young Arts Programme at the Disraeli School in High Wycombe and are about to see the successful completion of our second project at Bledlow Ridge First School.  We are also well into our first Church Recording project at Bradenham Church supported by a team of enthusiastic members.

Details of the last lecture of this programme year, in July 2017,are still available on this site, as are the full details of the lecture programme for 2017/2018.  We think you will find that we have selected a stimulating range of subjects for the lectures, plus interesting and informative Study Days, as well as some exciting Day Trips, and a long visit to Cardiff in 2018.

We do have a waiting list and if you join that list you are able to attend three lectures in any programme year but we have to insist that you book a place.  To do so please email our Membership Scretary, Paula Day:

It's membership renewal time. Forms can be downloaded and printed off by clicking on the Documents tab of this site.

Airedale Solutions have rebranded our web site to The Arts Society. If it looks a little odd please press the F5 key on your keyboard or the circular arrow on your browser whilst viewing the page. That will remove old pages from your computer so that you can view the new ones.
